Cergy-Pontoise is a New Town with numerous attractions to surprise visitors, be it down by the Oise River or up on its heights. Don't miss the views along the Axe Majeur vista, stretching to the skyscrapers of Paris's high-rise business district, La Défense. Cergy-Pontoise is also known for its very extensive Base de Loisirs, an outdoor recreation and water park skirting round the old village of Ham.
